Terms of Use and Enrolment
Last updated 2026-09-26
These Terms govern your use of synaptova.com, the Synaptova Learn app and the programme, lessons, labs, quizzes, exams, videos, certificates and any other material offered by [[LEGAL ENTITY NAME, e.g. Synaptova Learning Private Limited]], a [[Private Limited / LLP / Sole proprietorship]] registered at [[REGISTERED ADDRESS, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India]] ("Synaptova", "we", "us") (together, the Programme). By creating an account, enrolling or paying, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Pricing and Offer Terms, Service Delivery and Access Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not enrol.
This document is a draft for review by a lawyer. Parts marked [[lawyer review]] are not final.
1. Who can enrol
1.1 You must be at least 18 years old. We do not enrol anyone under 18. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close it and refund what was paid. 1.2 You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in email secure. One account is for one person. Sharing, reselling or transferring access is not allowed.
2. What you are buying
2.1 The Programme is a self-paced online learning programme. Its full curriculum (every module and lesson) is shown on the programme page at the time you pay. That description is part of what you buy. 2.2 Modules open one at a time: each module unlocks as soon as you have completed everything in the previous one. Inside a module, each lesson unlocks when you finish the one before it. If a module does not open for you on time, the remedies in the Refund and Cancellation Policy apply. 2.3 We may update, reorder or improve lessons to keep them current. We will not remove the core skills of a module you paid for without giving a substitute of equal scope. 2.4 No guarantee of outcomes. The Programme teaches skills and helps you build a portfolio. We do not promise any job, interview, placement, salary, promotion, admission or income, and we do not promise that you will pass any assessment or earn any certificate. Results depend on your effort, background and the job market. See the Disclaimer.
3. Price and payment
3.1 Prices are in Indian rupees and, unless stated otherwise, include applicable GST. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank details. 3.2 The total price you pay is shown before you pay. Promotional prices apply only for the period or number of seats stated in the Pricing and Offer Terms. 3.3 If your payment fails but your account is debited, or you pay twice by mistake, tell us. Refunds of failed and duplicate payments follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy. 3.4 If a payment is reversed or charged back without a valid reason, we may suspend access until the matter is resolved.
4. Your licence to the content (you do not own it)
4.1 When you pay, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Programme for your own learning, for the access period in the Service Delivery and Access Policy. You are not buying ownership of the Programme or any part of it. 4.2 We keep all rights in the lessons, notes, workbooks, labs, quizzes, exams, scripts, videos, glossary, the IRI method and the Synaptova name and logos. 4.3 You may not copy, record, download (except files we expressly offer for download), redistribute, resell, share, publicly perform or publish the Programme or any part of it. You may not use it, or any output of it, to train or build an AI model or a competing course. 4.4 Code you write in labs and projects is yours. Starter notebooks and templates stay ours; you may keep your completed work in your own portfolio. 4.5 If you send us feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the Programme without paying you. 5. Third-party content and services
The Programme links to and embeds material owned by others, for example videos shown through their owners' official players. That material belongs to its owners, is governed by their terms, and is credited on our Credits and Licences page. Services you use alongside the Programme (for example Google Colab, GitHub or Hugging Face) are governed by their own terms.
6. AI-assisted content
6.1 Course notes, workbooks, exams and the glossary were drafted with the help of an AI model (Claude). Code solutions were run and checked by automated tests. They have not been reviewed line by line by an independent human subject-matter expert. Explainer and deep-dive videos use an AI-generated voice and generated animations, and are labelled. 6.2 AI-assisted material can contain mistakes. Check important facts against official documentation before relying on them in work. 6.3 Tell us about errors at [[support@synaptova.com]] and we will check and correct them. See How we use AI.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: cheat in assessments or share lab completion codes; share your account; upload unlawful, infringing, harmful or malicious material (including in project links); harass others; probe, scrape, overload or try to break the platform or its security; or misrepresent a certificate, score or your identity. The Community Guidelines describe the standard we expect if we offer any community space.
8. Certificates and the IRI score
Certificates and Industry Readiness Index (IRI) scores record what you completed and demonstrated in the Programme. A certificate is a certificate of completion. It is not a degree, diploma or government-recognised qualification. See the Certificate and IRI Score Policy.
9. Suspension and termination
9.1 We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, after notice where reasonable. We will say why. 9.2 You may stop using the Programme at any time. A refund is available only as set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. 9.3 If your access ends because of a refund, or because we closed your account for breach, your licence ends, and your certificates may stop verifying. 9.4 Clauses that by their nature should continue (ownership, limits on liability, governing law) continue after termination.
10. Liability and indemnity [[lawyer review]]
10.1 The Programme is provided with reasonable skill and care. [[lawyer review: exclusion of indirect or consequential loss, lost income and lost opportunity, to the extent the law allows]] 10.2 [[lawyer review: cap on total liability, for example the amount paid for the Programme]] 10.3 [[lawyer review: indemnity for misuse, if any]] 10.4 Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other law that cannot be excluded.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or on the site at least 15 days before they take effect. A change will not reduce what you have already paid for.
12. Law, disputes and grievances
12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of India. 12.2 Courts at Bengaluru have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission where the law allows you to. 12.3 Please first raise any complaint with our Grievance Officer as set out in Grievance Redressal, or use the online grievance form.
