Your data rights
Last updated 2026-09-26
You can ask us to show you, correct, update or delete the personal data we hold about you, to withdraw a consent you gave, or to name someone to act for you if you die or cannot act. This page explains how. The full list of what we collect is in the Privacy Policy.
1. If you have an account
Sign in to the app and open Settings. You can download a copy of your data and delete your account yourself. Deleting your account erases your profile, progress, notes, quiz and exam attempts, submissions and certificates. Your certificate will no longer verify.
2. Anyone else, or if you prefer to ask us
Use the data-rights request form. You get a ticket number straight away, in the form DPR-YYYY-NNNNNN. Or email [[grievance@synaptova.com]] from the email address on your account (or the one you gave in a form), with the subject "My data" and say what you want: - See my data: we tell you what we hold, why, and who we shared it with. - Correct or update: tell us what is wrong. - Delete my data: we erase it, except what the law requires us to keep. - Withdraw consent: for example for marketing messages or analytics. - Nominate someone to use these rights for you.
We may need to confirm it is you. We usually do this by replying to your registered email. We will not ask for a government ID.
3. Our timelines
We acknowledge within 48 hours. We aim to finish within 30 days. When the DPDP Rules start, the legal limit is 90 days at most, and we will not go beyond that.
4. What we may keep
Invoices and payment records are kept for the period tax and accounting law requires (proposed: 8 years [[confirm]]). We keep them without a link to your account, and use them for no other purpose. Records of your consent and withdrawals are kept for a short period as proof [[confirm]]. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
5. Data from advertising platforms
If we receive your details through a lead form on a platform such as Facebook, Instagram or Google, you can ask us to delete them in the same way. To remove permissions you gave to those platforms, use their own settings.
6. If you are not satisfied
See Grievance Redressal, or use the online grievance form.
