Accessibility statement
Last updated 2026-09-26
We want everyone who can benefit from the Programme to be able to use it, including people who use screen readers, keyboards only, magnification or captions. This statement describes what we aim for, what we know does not work yet, and how to reach us.
1. Our target
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA for our website at synaptova.com and the Synaptova Learn app. This is a target, not a claim that we have reached it. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit. [[audit status and date to be filled after the audit]]
2. What we try to do
These are our design aims. We will confirm each one after the audit. [[confirm each point after the audit]] - Pages use headings, landmarks and labels so that screen readers can navigate them. - We design the site and app to work with a keyboard. - We offer a dark theme and respect your browser's text-size and reduced-motion settings. - Our own explainer videos are narrated, and we plan captions or transcripts for them. [[confirm which videos have captions today]] - We try not to rely on colour alone to show information.
3. Known limitations
[[to be filled after audit]]
What we already expect to need work: - Videos from other creators, shown through their owners' players, may not have accurate captions or audio description. We do not control them. - In-browser Python labs and code editors can be harder to use with some assistive technology. [[to be tested]] - Diagrams and animated visuals may not have full text alternatives yet. - PDF or notebook downloads may not be fully accessible.
4. Alternatives and help
If something is hard to use, tell us what you need and we will try to give you the same content in a form that works for you, such as a transcript, a text version of a diagram, or a different file format. We will respond within 48 hours and aim to provide an alternative within one month.
Contact: [[support@synaptova.com]] · [[+91-XXXXXXXXXX]] (Monday–Saturday, 10:00–18:00 IST). Or use the online grievance form if you are not satisfied with the reply.
5. Standards and law
India's Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the Supreme Court's 2025 decisions on digital access put weight on accessible digital services. We are working out exactly which duties apply to a private learning site and are following WCAG as a practical standard in the meantime. [[lawyer review]]
