Cookie Policy
Last updated 2026-09-26
Cookies and similar storage are small pieces of data a website keeps in your browser. This page lists what Synaptova uses. Optional ones run only if you say yes.
| Type | What it does | Needs your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps you signed in, remembers your cookie choice and your light or dark theme, and helps protect the site from abuse | No: the site cannot work without them |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 counts visits and shows which pages are useful. It sets cookies that identify your browser and records pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address. | Yes. Google Analytics does not run until you accept analytics. |
| Marketing | Measuring and improving adverts on platforms such as Meta and Google | Yes. No marketing cookies are in use today [[confirm before launch]]. If we add any, they will run only after you accept them, and we will list them here. |
| Embedded video | A video player such as YouTube's (privacy-enhanced mode) can set its own cookies or collect data when a video loads or plays | Treated as optional. You can watch on the owner's site instead |
How your choice works
- Until you choose, only essential cookies are set.
- "Reject optional" is as easy to select as "Accept all".
- You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops optional cookies from then on.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential ones, signing in may not work.
Google Analytics data is kept for [[confirm retention setting, e.g. 14 months]]. We use it only in aggregated form to improve the site. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which sends your IP address to Google (see the Privacy Policy). [[confirm: or self-host fonts and delete this sentence]]
